Steve gets a grip on the cup!
Stephen Owen (left), the 2019 winner of the SportsAid Cymru Wales Golf Society Caprice Cup, is presented with his trophy by SACW director Dave Gough. The prestigious Snowdonia Trophy was won by John Humphreys.
Dave Gough said "Come rain or shine, a SACW golf event is always a great social gathering, apart from raising funds for the charity!"
Golf can be thirsty work....which explains the beaming smiles of the winners of the 2017 SportsAid Cymru Wales Team event as they clutch their champagne and ice bucket prizes!
Tony Brown and his son Mark, of Anthony Brown Estate Agents, Llantwit Major, with Neal Pritchard and Dave Williams, defied heavy rain and blustery conditions to return a score of 104 at the Glamorganshire Golf Club, Penarth, home to the competition each year.
From left, Dave, Mark, Tony and Neal also won a round of golf for 4 at the Vale Resort, the prizes being donated by SACW Director Dave Mason of DW Harris & Co, Solicitors in Pontypridd. SACW Administrator Linda Chamberlain-Jones said "Despite the weather, enthusiasm and enjoyment remained high and there were some notable performances. Our thanks go to Glamorganshire for once again hosting the event so well."
